Barry County deed checks belong with the Recorder of Deeds
Barry County's Recorder of Deeds and iRecord search are the right lane for recorded land documents, not property-tax or assessment questions.
A Barry County deed question belongs in the Recorder of Deeds lane. The Cassville office handles the recorded document trail, and the county also offers an iRecord search for recorder records.
That lane is easy to mix up with the tax offices. The Assessor can help with value and the assessment account. The Collector can help with tax statements and paid receipts. The Recorder is different. It is where a deed, recorded instrument, or recording question belongs.
This split saves calls for buyers, heirs, and landowners. If the question is “who owns it on the deed” or “was this document recorded,” start with the Recorder and iRecord. If the question is “what is it worth for tax purposes” or “has the bill been paid,” move to the Assessor or Collector instead. Same parcel, different counter.
