Stone County personal property searches may need the assessor PIN

Stone County's assessor tools separate personal property records from tax payments, and the personal property search is built around the PIN on the assessment form.

At the Galena assessor office, Stone County tax work splits before the bill ever shows up. The Assessor side keeps the personal property assessment record. Its online personal property search is built around the PIN printed on the assessment form.

That PIN search is not a payment receipt. It helps you find the assessment record: the vehicles or other taxable personal property tied to the account, the identifier the Assessor uses, and the place to start if something is missing or wrong. The Collector side comes later, when a tax statement, payment, or paid receipt is the question.

A plate-renewal problem can come from either side. No paid receipt may be a Collector issue. No vehicle on the assessment record, or no match for the PIN, starts with the Stone County Assessor in Galena.
