Saline Valley opens a creek corridor near Tuscumbia
Saline Valley Conservation Area gives Miller County public access to Saline Creek bottomland and nearby Osage River-connected stream corridors.
Saline Valley Conservation Area adds a quieter public-land layer to Miller County’s Osage River identity. Missouri Department of Conservation says the area provides public access to nine miles of bottomland corridor along Saline Creek. It also names Jack Buster Creek, Jim Henry Creek, and the Osage River as additional stream-corridor access.
That matters because Miller County outdoor life also includes creek bottoms away from the developed lake edge. Near Tuscumbia, the county has boat-reached ground and MDC-managed land where fishing, hunting, and walking questions point to conservation-area rules.
Before using a road, boat access, or hunting area, check the MDC page and area map. It is the official source for what is public, what is restricted, and how to reach the area.
