The Park Board is a city-county layer

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board is one of those local layers that makes the county line feel less tidy on a map. It operates and maintains more than 100 park sites, trails, and facilities in both Springfield and unincorporated Greene County. The same Park Board name can show up for greenways, bikeways, ballfields, picnic shelters, and neighborhood parks.

A trail question around Springfield may not fit neatly into “city park” or “county road.” A family reserving a facility, a runner looking at a greenway, or a newcomer trying to understand who manages a park can start with the Park Board name.
