Franklin County addressing is a Planning and Zoning task

Franklin County's addressing page says unincorporated addresses, road names, and district validation run through the county addressing authority.

Outside city limits in Franklin County, an address is more than a mailing label. The county addressing page says the County Commission set up a county addressing authority. Planning and Zoning has handled that job since 2018.

The page lists local tasks such as situs requests, private street signs, road-name requests, real-property address changes, and address or district checks. It also explains why uniform addresses matter: they help 911 crews find people and places faster.

For a landowner, builder, or buyer on a private road, this is a real county step. If an address, road name, or district is unclear, check the county addressing page before assuming the mail address, tax parcel, and 911 record all line up.
