Boonville's National Register districts spread beyond one block

Boonville has multiple National Register historic districts, so its historic texture reaches across several streets.

Boonville’s historic feel is spread across more than one postcard block. Missouri State Parks’ Cooper County National Register page lists several Boonville historic districts.

The state list includes Historic District B around Fourth and East Spring streets. It also lists Historic District C around East High and Fourth streets, Historic District D around High and Main streets, Historic District E around High, Spring and Morgan streets, and Historic District F along Sixth and Seventh streets.

That pattern helps a reader understand Boonville as a layered town. The courthouse, riverfront, Katy Trail, and old campus areas are all part of a wider historic street fabric.
