A Camden County waiver is an assessor and collector check

Camden County's statement of non-assessment process may send you through the Collector and Assessor before you can license a vehicle.

A statement of non-assessment, often called a waiver, is for the case where the license office needs proof that you do not owe county personal property tax for the required year. Camden County’s motor vehicle licensing page gives a local route: talk to the Collector first and then the Assessor, or start at the Assessor’s office.

At the Assessor’s office, you declare the motor vehicles, watercraft, towing trailers, and similar property you want to license. If you are not on the current personal property assessment rolls, the county says a declaration and statement of non-assessment can be filled out there. Do not treat the waiver as a shortcut around taxes. It is a county record check that helps the state license office know whether a paid receipt is required.
