Andrew County assessment starts with what you owned on January 1

Andrew County's assessor page is the place to start for real estate values, personal property lists, and January 1 ownership questions.

January 1 is the date to circle for Andrew County personal property. The assessor’s office values assessed personal and real property across 436 square miles, and it separates staff contacts for personal property and real estate.

For a vehicle owner, mover, or new resident, that split is useful. Personal property tax is based on what applies on January 1 of the tax year. Assessment sheets are mailed in the first week of January, and new residents are told to get assessed right away.

Use the assessor for value, listing, address-change, or assessment-sheet questions. Use the collector later, when the issue is a tax bill, payment, receipt, or delinquency. Keeping those two jobs separate saves a long loop through the wrong office in Savannah.
